• Hotel Cancellation Policy: All reservations request will require a credit card and a deposit for (1) room night. Reservations must be canceled by May 18, 2018, in order to avoid the charge of one night’s stay.
• Hotel Conference Rate: In order to receive the conference rate, reservations must be made by May 24, 2018.

• $30.00/day resort fee is waived for all guest booked under WFA room block; Complimentary on-site parking
• Notes/Updates:
  • The hotel block of rooms at the WFA rate starts on the Friday, June 15. However, those few rooms at the conference rate on June 15 are sold out. [02.28.2018]
  • Saturday June 16 and Wednesday June 20 are both looking full.  Here are some near-by hotels.  We do not have a WFA contract with these hotels, but at the moment the rates are comparable.  Also feel free to ping admin@westernfinance.org and we can run a wait list. [04.16.2018]

Transportation

• Air Travel:  San Diego International airport is the closest airport for travel to the Hotel del Coronado.   The drive from San Diego International airport to Coronado Island is about 20 minutes.

• The Coronado Ferry travels across San Diego Bay to downtown San Diego.  Book at Coronado Ferry or  contact the concierge for assistance at concierge@hoteldel.com or 1-800-468-3533.
• Coronado’s Free Summer Shuttle: The popular Free Summer Shuttle Bus service is back this summer from May 27 through September 26, 2016, every 15 minutes. It’s the perfect way to explore Coronado Island during your stay at The Del. The bus runs from the hotel with stops along Coronado’s main thoroughfare, Orange Avenue, and goes to the Ferry Landing. • The 130 year old Hotel del Coronado has a rich history.   Movies and movie stars, to be sure.  But for financial economists, L. Frank Baum wrote The Wizard of Oz while at the Hotel del.  And 2018 seems good time to be allegorizing about the gold standard. (JPE or Jstor)
